Truth Shouldn't Cost a Life

ree

I don’t usually write about things like this. Most of the time, I keep my thoughts to myself. But today feels different — staying quiet doesn’t feel right.

Charlie Kirk’s life was taken on September 10th by a pathetic coward. They took away a husband, a father, a son, a friend; they took an innocent man’s life. This is not to argue any political points; this is about when violence becomes the answer to words. This was a horrible and vile act, no matter what side you’re on. People do not have the right to take another human’s life because they have different views. No two brains are the same; everyone is going to have different ideas and opinions on life, religion, politics, sports, etc. Resorting to violence doesn’t make you powerful; it makes you pitiful—only the weak resort to violence.

Charlie Kirk was a man of God, and he spoke in truth. Charlie Kirk was not this person’s to take. Agree or disagree with his ideas, you don’t get to decide someone's fate. How are we going to get control of gun violence if one side is going to use it as their defense? This person couldn’t reason with him, so they went for the weakest act. Everything they lacked — wisdom, decency, and influence — Charlie had in plenty.

Did this solve anything? Did this solve all the problems in the world? Did they fix anything? NO. For some reason, this person thought that Charlie Kirk was standing in the way of whatever problem they had. Now their biggest problem will be standing before God on judgment day. If we let violence replace words, we will lose the very soul of this nation.

Isaiah 5:20 – In the last days, good will be called evil and evil will be called good.

Words must never be replaced by bullets — not now, not ever.
