Time for a change: Why the cowboys should fire Mike McCarthy

Lions Vs Cowboys

Last night, the Cowboys played against the Lions and suffered a heavy loss, 47-9. This is the Cowboy's 3rd loss at home, leaving them winless at home this season (0-3). This game also marked Dallas's worst home game defeat since 1988, while on Jerry Jones's 82nd birthday.

The Cowboys managed to score only 9 points (3 field goals), struggling to break through the Lion's defense. Their defense also had a tough time stopping the Lion's offense. Bem Johnson, Lion's offensive coordinator, utilized trick plays that outmaneuvered the Cowboy's defense. The Cowboys' offense, in particular, was a challenge to watch, with five turnovers.

The Cowboys Problem

When watching the game, Dallas's offensives are really only about two players. Dak Prescott and Cee Dee Lamb. This is something that Dallas made a mistake early on when they were in free agency and were adding defensive tackles to the roster. It's because they can't afford anyone else. Derek Henry was interested in joining the Cowboys, but they didn't want him. They put all in on Dak and Lamb. That wasn't smart; you need more than a decent quarterback and an incredible wide receiver.

On the other hand, this game showed off what the Detroit Lions are capable of, outshining everyone else. The Lions might have had more motivation going into this game, considering the turnout of the game between these two teams last season. The Cowboys won against the Lions 20-19. The Lions also have Jameson Williams and Jared Goff throwing him incredible passes.

Keeping Mike McCarthy

As it goes for the Cowboys keeping Mike McCarthy, it's unlikely that they will fire him. Jerry Jones was asked about his decisions last night, and this is what he had to say.
